Inflammatory Breast Cancer Concern

Hi hello,

I'm not even sure this is the right place to post this but I am so anxious and need to Speak to someone - anyone on here who has experience. We do not have a family history of BC or of the gene however, both my Mum, Gran and Grandad had other cancers and it's a fear we all watch for. In the last two months I noticed that my right breast hangs slightly lower than my left, feels a bit heavier and just in general I'm more aware of it. I don't have skin puckering/orange peel effect (just the little spots you get from hair), I can't find lumps and my nipples aren't inverted. My breast isn't red as far as I can tell. SO I don't know if my anxiety is from my family history or if there's something wrong. I've read all these stories and other than the fact one is larger than the other it doesn't neccessarily fit but I'm just so anxious!! Have I maybe just never noticed one is bigger than the other (not double the size but noticeably droopier) or is this a cause for concern?

i'm 22 years old so I know it's rare but I know it happens. Sorry if this is distressing or the wrong place to post, I'm just worried.

thank you so much to anyone who responds!!

  • Hey,

im 21. I breastfed for a couple of months & even before pregnancy one of my boobs was always bigger than the other. I had an ultrasound done on my breast back in 2018 (this was because of a lump) - turned out to be a fibroadenoma super common & I mentioned my boobs are different sizes & they said that It's really common. Even to this day one of mine hang lower than the other.
If you're still worried you can always have them examined by the GP to feel for anything but I do think it's pretty normal xx
