Worried about lump on neck

Hi everyone

I'm a 22 year old male who has recently found a lump on my neck. The lump is just above my Adam's apple and slightly to the right. It is firm, slightly tender and moves a bit under the skin. It is roughly 2cm in length.

I decided to get it checked out by my gp a few weeks ago. He had a quick feel of it and said that it was likely a fatty lump or a swollen lymph node but assured me it was nothing to worry about.

Despite this I'm still worried, after a few weeks the lump is still tender and showing no signs of going away. I have no other symptoms but reading through the Internet definitely has not helped!

Should I get a 2nd check? I know with the current climate gp's are under immense pressure but I'm worried if this could be anything worse.

Thanks
