Waiting for tests

Hi, never posted in this forum however thought Id post my thoughts/fears as I darent mention them to my family.

I have pain in my pelvis which spreads round to my back. It has been persistent since around Christmas. I thought it was a urine infection but that's clear. Also consider IBS however I have been having bowel movements. Had consultation with GP on Thursday last week and went for bloods and urine today. I have a CT scan on Friday but will have a further wait after this. No one has mentioned the C word however this is my fear. My children who are 24 and 27 lost their father to cancer 7 years ago. He didn't even reach 50years. I'm not bothered about myself but I am really worried for my 2 children. Sorry if I sound pathetic given I don't even know but I can't help being worried.

    I'm really sorry to hear about what happened to your kids Father and I think it's more than understandable that you're so worried. 
     

    It's good that they're taking your concerns seriously and have for you in for that scan but I get how worrying waiting for results can be. If it makes you feel better, if the scan detects something serious they are very quick at letting you know. So I know it's hard, but try not to worry yourself until you know for certain. 
     

    My partner is going through something similar lately and it's awful but the doctors have been great at getting her seen and tested really quick. 
     

    I hope all is okay but try not to worry, especially since the c word hasn't been mentioned too.
