Bleeding for 4 months

Hi there, 

womdering if anyone has experience similar. 
I've got PCOS and have done now for pushing 20 years. I've never really ovulated and pregancy is pretty much out for the questions with 10years of trying. 
periods are always pretty irregular with 3-4 month gaps between them. 
 
But back in August this year had a week of really heavy period and since then I am bleeding daily. 


I have been to the GP for swabs and have internal scan booked in for this week but after 5mins on google I am now freaking out. 
 

no STIs, no contraceptive pill... what else could it be?

    Consulting Dr.Google when waiting for tests usually tends to heighten fears and anxiety by giving the worst case scenarios so if you can, do try and stay away from it from now on.

    Although no-one here can say what it could be, hopefully the results of your swabs and scan will be able to provide some answers.

    I'm sure some of our members who have been in similar situations will offer their support and advice to you soon but in the meantime, we're thinking of you and hope all goes well with your scan.

    So, just to give an update..... we're now a further 26 days in, finished a course of tablets and still the bleeding is harder than ever. 
     

    I've had internal ultrasound and it came back with small fibroids but doctor said she doesn't think that's causing the problem. 
    I was advised by GP to have a smear treat. 
     

    I tried booking one through the GP receptionist and she told me NO.... I can't book one without a letter. I appreciate there are procedures in place but I was told by the GP to book one.... GPS response was... I'll speak to her but yet I'm still waiting for permission to book one. 
     

    I have no idea what's happening to me other than Harvey bleeding now for near 5months, bloated, feeling very low and tired and I've truly had enough with with GP practise.
