Possible Cancer?

Hello all, I recently had a scan to check for my coil as they couldn't find the strings and they found a 8.5 x 7.2 x 5cm cyst on my right ovary so I was referred to gynaecology. The gynaecologist who saw me (within a week) took out the coil and did a biopsy as I have been having unexplained bleeding for about a year (the coil was inserted to help with the issues not as birth control as I was sterilised 10 years ago). I am 47 years old and don't think I'm in menopause yet. He has also ordered me an MRI which I'm having done on Tuesday. Today I received a letter from the gynae which is also a clinic note to my GP and although his findings were largely ok, the biopsy results came back as "remarkable" (which is just in one sentence at the bottom of the letter). I am freaking out a bit as to what "remarkable" can mean. Has anyone had this happen to them and can they be of any help right now?

  • Hi Tabs2001,

I can see you posted elsewhere and received a reply from our Moderator Lucie, so hopefully that helped.

It's best to discuss these medical queries with your GP when you are able to do so.

I hope you're able to find out more about all of this soon.

    Wishing you all the best,
