Possible polyp

Hi

I'm new to this group. I just have a few questions I'm probably worrying about nothing.  I am a 50 year old woman, on Tuesday 5th jan I started having a postmenopausal bleed I thought it was a side effect of some new heart failure medication but HF nurse advised this isnt a side effect so I rang my GP. Saw my GP same day and she referred me for transvaginal scan had the scan on Thursday.  The sonographer said the lining is fine at 4mm she found fibroids and she said there is also a possible polyp and possible feeder vessel. She explained that further investigation is required.  I know my GP has the results as I can see the conclusion on my patient access but she hasnt rang me. Sonographer has advised a hysteroscopy.  Will my GP arrange this or will she leave it as it is a possible polyp. What have peoples experiences been. Thank you.  X

  • Hi there,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. It's good to hear you've had this invesigated - if you think the GP has results but you haven't heard anything, then the best thing may be to give them a call. You can talk through what the sonographer said along with any questions/concerns you have.

I hope you're able to find out more soon.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
