I'm extremely new to all this, so here goes.
PET scan has revealed 3 nodules in my lungs and a lump in my neck - all of which are active. Next step is an ultrasound on the lump plus some fluid/ tissue will be taken.
I've been allocated a lung cancer specialist nurse, who has said that it's being regarded as cancer until histology tell them otherwise. I'm scared - naturally- but so confused. I've always thought it was the other way round, biopsy then diagnosis ?
As yet no treatment has been mentioned, plus I'm with 2 consultants- ENT and Respiratory - I can only assume that they are waiting for the scan and biopsy.
