Hi.
I'm 40 years old and I've noticed an indent on the side of my left breast (outer side) its not like a dent more of a line, its about 3 inches long and very slightly indented, the skin around the line is soft and even but more noticable when I lift my arm although still slightly visible when arm is relaxed,if I move the skin around the line or stretch the skin the line completely disappears. I can not feel any lumps and have no swelling or redness/rashes and the breast still feels very soft and no hardened or thick skin.I phoned my gp and I had a nurse call me back and she said she will refer me to the breast clinic as they weren't seeing patients due to covid so I'm just waiting for my appointment but I am so scared, everywhere I look it says indent equals cancer. My sister had breast cancer when she was 34 but they think hers was because of receiving too much hormone treatment during her ivf treatment although can not be proved and she also tested negative to the breast cancer gene. I have had trouble in the past with my breasts and I had a scan 6 years ago as my breasts always felt achy and heavy but I was told the scan was clear but given my size (44dd) I had naturally lumpy breasts and possible fibrosis tissue so I'm hoping this is all that is but im not so sure. I'm also yet to find anyone that has had a "line" as opposed to a indent or what else can cause a line that isn't cancer so if anyone can help please let me know,im so scared of leaving my kids behind
