I'm sorry to hear how much this is troubling you and hope I can offer some comfort as we are in a very similar boat it would seem. I am too also very worried, but we are human and unfortunately tend to think the worst. 

I am 24 so only a couple of years older than you, I found a lump/mass in my breast just before New Year and was referred straight to the breast clinic. Since then however it's gave me nothing but trouble my breast is swollen and sore to touch so I called the nurse back and she prescribed with antibiotics, on day 3 now and have seen very little progress but she reassured me these types of symptoms don't usually end up being cancer but perhaps an infection, cyst, abcess etc so I am clinging to that. 
 

Please call your GP back up and ask them for the number for the breast clinic team you will probably find you have already been allocated an appointment and it's on the way in the post. This is what I did after only a week of waiting as it was driving me insane - my appointment is on Monday. If it makes you feel better I can pop on here and let you know how I got on fingers crossed I can give you some hope and peace of mind. I really hope your okay. It's such a rubbish and horrible place to be in isn't it. My GP said yday that I should just wait for a call but I was referred on the 30/12/20 still not heard a thing I hope I don't get forgotten about.

You will usually get an appointment within 2 weeks of referral, but in some parts of the country this is taking a little longer due to the current pandemic. This could still be an infection, which just needs another course of antibiotics or a cyst. You are right that most breast cancers are not accompanied by pain. Your appointment at the clinic is as much to rule out breast cancer as it is to detect it. In fact only 1 person in every 8 who attend will receive a cancer diagnosis.

I hope that your appointment comes through soon and, that nothing untoward is found. Until then, steer clear of the internet, as this will only scare you further and try to keep busy, as this helps the time to pass.

Yep my partner has told me to stay away from Google as its no good. He said Google isn't a doctor lol
