I am 33 and I had the exact same results today, however I have been told it will be 8 weeks before I receive an appointment! I have 4 kids age 10 ,7 and twins 16 month. I am sick with worry and can't sleep searching everything possible online . I hope we can find some experiences to give us some hope ️

I have just read your post I hope you are doing okay. I understand how you feel worrying right now. I've had my 3rd cervical screening today as I have one every 12 months since I was 24. I was referred for a colposcopy myself in September last year but due to COVID and the backlog clinics near me have been cancelled which I only found out on Tuesday (hence the cervical screening today).
I can't comment on what happens at a colposcopy or if it's painful, but stay positive and try not to worry too much. You've not to got too long to wait for your app and I hope your results come back clear ️

I can't believe you've waited all these months and still haven't had a colposcopy, maybe chase the appointment?

I know it's terrible so many other people must be in the same position, I got intouch with my GP and they booked a cervical screening so just got to wait for those results and if anything shows up should get an urgent referral.

Yes that would be good thank you. Hopefully I get an appointment sent out soon, bit with new lock down who knows!. It's more the thought I have the high risk hpv that is freeking me out.

It is the waiting that is so horrible! I would call to chase if I was you. I think I'm on the 2 week cancer pathway which is why my appointment is so soon and they go forward with these appointments regardless of Covid. Did you also have high grade dyskaryosis?

Yeah,  I tested positive for HPV so they just do them every 12 months to check, I think it is just routine tbh. X 

Did you have any changes to cells aswell? Do you know if it was high grade HPV? Sorry for the questions, I am just wondering why I've got a colposcopy so quickly, worries me that means I could have cancer :(
