Don't know what to do. How do I move forward.

So I had some severe lower right sided stomach pain last Wednesday which I went to ANE about and they gave me a ct scan as they thought it was kidney stones.

After hours of waiting they came back and said it wasn't kidney stones but swollen lymph nodes in the abadamon and some bowl thickening. Since then I have had the constant shivers and body aches. I haven't been able to digest anything. I feel horribly ill. The pain in my stomach has been excruciating.  Gp cane back today and said that she's been in touch with gastro and  they have asked her to refer me to them urgently. All I've been told is that there's bowl inflammation and lymph nodes enlarged around it  I was told it wasn't flu or an infection by Gp. Since then my carer has noticed that my urine has been very red in colour. I haven't been given any more information other than what that ct scan shows and I feel horrible and so unwell. I don't k ow whether I should go back to the hospital as I can't eat or drink anything without serious pain and I feel like passing out but will it make a difference.

  • Hi there,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to read of the issues and pain you're experiencing with this.

If things are feeling particularly debilitating and/or getting worse then you should give your doctor a call to get their advice on the situation.

Hopefully you'll receive the referral appointment soon and find out more about all of this.

But as I say if you feel you're struggling to get by, speak to your doctor.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
