I have just had my first smear test. I felt quite shakey and light headed after and as I got home nearly fainted. Also bleeding a fair bit. Not sure if this is normal or just got myself to worked up beforehand
I remember my first one and got myself work up and so nervous. Your prob feeling that way because it's over and u can relax abit. I found after it I was sore like period pains and we bit of blood. Will settle in couple days
I've had two and about 15 minutes after both I have had a short window of nausea and dizziness. I did read once something about a nerve called the vagus nerve, that can cause these symptoms when it's touched during smears. Doctor said to lay down as soon as you feel the symptoms starting.
