Seeing the Doctor... Again

I Think I've had issues with my lymph nodes swelling since 2017. Started with my tonsils which I had removed in 2018. Then in 2019 and I had a biopsy on some unusual axillary lymph nodes (Cause of swelling is still unknown). Then 2020 came and I had swollen lymph nodes in my neck, chest, and armpit and I'll be seeing a doctor finally in 2021 on the 27th of January. I guess I want to talk about how I feel but it's been so many years... For the past few days I've been crying myself to sleep from abdominal pain. Waiting on a diagnosis of anything is hard, but waiting when there's symptoms of cancer is the worst. The doctors at my hospital threw acid reflux meds at my mom until the day she finally had to get a hysterectomy and her gallbladder removed, so I'm not confident that this long span of time is a sign it's not serious (especially as I get worse). Time goes on, I hope this year I can finally figure out why my body is trash.

  • I'm sorry for the long journey you've been on with these symptoms Keeks but hopefully this will be the year when you get some answers.

I can't begin to imagine how tough this has been for you but the Cancer Chat community are here for you and hopefully some of our members will be here soon to offer their support and advice.

In the meantime do let your doctor know about the pain, especially if it's becoming unmanageable, as they should be able to provide you with something to relieve this.

Wishing you all the best for the 27th Keeks.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
