Pain in right leg

Hi,

I'm a 17 year old female that has recently been having this really deep pain in my right leg. I began to get more concerned as my veins became suddenly more visible than usual around the same time. I'm certain that they're showing up because I'm quite pale and hormonal changes because I'm on the pill.

However, the pain is becoming unbearable and begins to shoot from my knee down into my lower leg and I was wondering if this was cause for concern?

It is very difficult for me to get a doctor's appointment due to the current climate and I don't want to feel as though I am wasting their time if it's nothing..

Thanks for any help in advance!

  • Welcome to the forum themoderrnage although I'm sorry for the reason you're joining us. What you're contending with sounds very painful.

As the pain has become worse it may be a good idea to book in with your GP as they'll be in the best position to help and hopefully figure out what's causing this. They would also want you to see them about this rather than trying to carry on in discomfort.

I know it's tough getting appointments at the moment but do keep trying. You could also try getting some advice from a local pharmacist or the NHS on their 111 service.

    Kind regards,
