Need some advise

Hi I'm Mary I am 29 years old I have been having a lot of pain in my stomach for around a year and half they kept putting it down to ibs waiting on colonoscopy over the last month I have been having constipation with a lot of blood in my stools I done a stool test which was positive and they said to wait on colonoscopy in a lot of pain with my back and my stomach I am really scared but I don't no if I am over reacting.

has anyone experiencing anything similar thanks 

  • Hello Mary and welcome to the forum.

    It's completely natural to be worried given what you're going through but hopefully when you get to have your colonoscopy it will not show anything sinister.

    If you're having trouble managing the pain you're experiencing at the moment do be sure to let your doctor know as they should be able to provide you with something that can help relieve this.

    Fingers crossed everything will be o.k and you hear back from some of our members soon.
