Im female and found a gynae lump. I went to my doctor and they referred me under the 2 week wait. However, due to covid and Christmas it will actually be just under 4 weeks from referral to appointment. I hope this is some help to you.

Sorry to hear about your lump and also the fact that what should be a two week wait is actually four! The waiting is hard!

When were you referred and how long did it take to receive your appointment? 
 

My husband went the day before Christmas Eve so I'm assuming it will be a while before we even receive an appointment letter due to postal services not running again until tomorrow.

He's booked in to have bloods taken tomorrow as GP insisted he have these done before the appointment. 

When is your appointment? Hope it goes ok and it isn't cancer.

I was referred on the 8th December, received my letter on  14th which just said I had been referred and if I hadn't heard from them by the 15th to call them which I did. They told me there was a backlog of appointments and they would get an appointment out ASAP. I then received my actual appointment letter on the 22nd and and I've finally got an appointment date of the 6th.

I'm trying so hard to stay positive but I'll admit I'm scared. I'm only 34 and have 2 young children.

Good luck on the 6th. I have read that quite a high percentage of people who are referred actually don't have cancer so I'm trying to focus on that stat at the minute to keep positive. 

We also have young children. Hopefully both you and my hubby will be fine.
