Hi
I posted last month regarding some nipple discharge but due to having surgery for a different matter I didn't see the doctor straight away. Just a follow up. A couple of weeks ago I noticed in the mirror an indent, more of a line really that runs about 2 inches down the side of my left breast (armpit side) so today I called my gp and spoke to a senior nurse, she said she wasn't concerned about the discharge as I've had that for about 5 years and had a previous scan which was normal. She said it is a good sign that I have no pain, swelling, heat or lump BUT she did say she didn't like the sound that the line/indent was more noticeable when I lift my arm (you can see it without lifting but see it more when I do) so she has referred me to the breast clinic under the 2 week pathway. She said not to worry as could still be nothing but im so scared now, I have 4 children and I saw my sister battle breast cancer when she was 34 luckily she is fine now but im petrified. (I'm 40,non smoker and in fairly good health) I've had a breast scan about 5 years ago as had very tender achy breasts and was told due to my size 40dd I had normal lumpy breast tissue. Has anyone else had this where it turned out to be normal?
Thank you xx
