Just want a hand hold

I'm feeling so nervous for tomorrow

I know due to covid restrictions we can't have someone come with us but I've read on here some people did have someone come with me. My anxiety is getting too much for me to handle.. the thought of leaving my little 11 month old and husband behind terrifies me. I'm worried sick (literally)

my lumps are mirrored in both breasts but I feel the one on the right is thicker.. it's making me really worry about cancer. I don't really know why I'm writing this up.. just looking for some support and comfort I guess.

  • Hello,

due to being under 30, the guidelines apparently say that the GP cannot see me and I have to "watch and wait". She said a minimum of a month, and then they can discuss something if it's still there after my next period. (I finished my period yesterday).

On this basis I've booked an appointment at the one stop breast clinic via private healthcare on the 4th Jan. I'm annoyed that the doctors won't do anything and just watching and waiting seems silly to me!

I feel really nervous. I have quite lumpy breasts anyway and the lumps are more soft and feel more like cysts. However this one is much more harder and just a bit different.

i just need someone to confirm its harmless so I can move on...

  • Hi

i totally understand why you're frustrated!! But the clinic on the 4th of Jan will 100% find out the cause behind this.
I know it's difficult but try keep your mind off it. Mine feel similar to what you're saying too. When you raise your arm up and feel your breast does it feel like pudding or a bean bag, or can you feel these big lumps even then?

please feel free to message me whenever you're feeling anxious about it all. It really helps.

  • Hey!

thanks so much for replying, it's nice to have someone to talk to who understands!

so I feel it more if I'm laid down or raise my arm, my breasts in general feel like bean bags, loads of bumpy bits then under to the right of my nipple there is this one larger & harder bit that doesn't feel the same. What are yours like, what do they feel like etc? X

  • Hi there I've followed your post as I was thinking of you today.  I'm so glad you got good news and feel reassured.  Wishing you a lovely family time with your husband and baby.
    take care xxx

  • Exactly what you've described

defo check your other breast on the other side & see if it's the same. If it is then it's most likely just glandular breast tissue.
    have you breastfed?

I actually only fully realised this morning (after 3 weeks of stress) that my lumps are in similar places both breasts lol.
however I'm super glad I went as I wouldn't know my fibroadenoma has shrunk!!
Feel free to message me as well if u don't feel like asking on here xx
