So confused

Hello I am new to this but I needed to speak to someone as feel I not getting any joy from my doctor.

for a long time my stool has not been solid but I just left as didn't think much about it!

then about 3 months ago I had really bad piles where I couldn't go to work the doctor gave me some strong cream that worked then a week later I was really bleeding from my bottom and everything I ate made me so full and uncomfortable which has now made me lose one stone and a half which to be honest I can not really do as tiny as it is! I went back to doctors where I had bloods taken and stool sample which all come back clear! I had a ct scan on the 1st of December as doctor said he felt something in the bottom of my tummy and I also have a hard lump in between my rib cage I am still waiting for results! Then today the 20th December I had an colonoscopy which I had polyps removed and a biopsy taken which I wasn't told what the biopsy was taken for I was sent home and told my results will be 4-8 weeks!! Is this normal? Or should I take it the reason it's so long is because they are not concerned!! I am still struggling to eat I can have soups but that's about it I was hoping to feel better before Xmas! I am no longer bleeding but still have very loose stools and ever so shattered all the time!

thank you listening to me and I hope someone can give me some advice xxx

  • Hello Mumjosh123,

As you may know, the pandemic has led to high demand in the health services so results may take time. I understand that waiting can be difficult, but there are some tips here that could help. If your symptoms persist or change while you wait, you should contact your doctor. They will do there best to address your concerns.

    Best wishes,
