New moles

ive recently found a new mole on my body. Looks like a normal mole, even with colour, even with shape etc. Should I still go and get it checked out? I'm 30 and I've read on google that it's not common for adults In their 30s to develop new moles

Hi Amber,
That's the problem with Dr Google, it gives conflicting information. It's quite normal for new moles to appear up to the age of 40. Just keep an eye on it in case it changes (like we should we all our moles) but don't worry just because it's a new one.

this has made me feel better.. last time my GP referred me to get a mole checked, the dermatologist said that the GP had wasted their time so its made me cautious for the next time I needed a mole checking over
