Ovarian Cancer?

Very confused.... spent months thinking I had bowel issues (IBD), but as my Coeliac Disease test came back negative, I have been booked in for a CA125 test on 29 December and my ultrasound has been brought forward to 06 January.  Please bear in mind I have lots of random issues, including raised liver enzymes, so I have no idea what is what.

I have PCOS and since having my son in Feb, I have had a few days of random spotting.  Thought I was getting my period, but it didnt amount to anything.

As well as the known symptoms, I am having things like dysphagia, pins and needles, dizzy spells, blurry vision and a sensation that my skin is burning....particularly in my left shoulder blade!

Can anyone relate to any of this? I also feel like the right side of my stomach looks bigger than the other.  I'm just lost as to what to think, as I was convinced it was Coeliac Disease

  • Hi, hope you're well.

I've had the exact same symptoms as yourself. I'm due to get my bloods done and ultrasound this week. They initially thought it might be something to do with my bowel so had colonoscopy but came back all clear. Have they done any other tests to rule out IBD issues for you xx

  • Stool samples have been clear, and I have been on the waiting list for an endoscopy and colonoscopy for months.  They have expedited them several times, but I'm still no wiser.

Do you also have the burning sensation and pins and needles? I think they are thinking I'm mad!!

I had an x ray on 25 September as I was in agony with the left of my stomach, and it showed I was backed up.  Took laxido and all was fine....then I had severe burning in both flanks.  Again, assumed it was my stomach.  Fast forward to the end of October and I'm still having pains, but in my lower left radiating right, behind my belly button, by my liver and bottom right of my pelvis.  I have been feeling like I am breathing in dust etc. Too.  I am not one for anxiety or stress and I have been unwell since March.  Genuinely baffled by what's going on xx

  • Hi there, I occasionally get pins and needles sensation in my chest and legs, when I've mentioned this to my doctor they just keep putting it down to stress and tell me to try to not worry too much, which is hard to do when your waiting on tests and results.

I first noticed the my symptoms on November 2019 after having my first baby and just assumed that it was part of the healing process but months on it started to get worse.

Do you find your pain moves around or is it more localised? Mine changes from the left to the right every other day or so it feels.

    Xx

  • I had them back about 6 months ago when I had gout, but only on my left and in my lips.  I was told I had a sensitivity to codeine and to stop taking it.  I then had it back in September, bit in both hands, and toes.  Then, not even a month ago I had an abscess, which had gotten really badly infected and not only did I have an urgent operation, I was pumped full of fluids and antibiotics as my BP and oxygen was low, pulse was fast and temp dropping....I digress (but there's a point to this I promise)....but I was ill with sepsis..you get the picture. So, after my operation I found I had tingling in both legs, my finger tips and my lips.  They are now sending me for an MRI as they think the spinal may have done something to my nerves, but I have not touched codeine and clinically the OP wouldn'texplain my lips and fingers tingling. But I'm not sure if I get pins and needles whenever my body is struggling with infection or something?!

And then there in the burning sensations, flank pain, and aches.  It's just bizzare!

So sorry this was long winded! Xx

  • Hello
