Hi Lubby, it's so hard to answer your question as no one but the person you will see on Monday has the full facts.  Don't forget that it's not long to Christmas and they may wish to clear as many scan results as soon as possible.  I'll put you on follow the thread and check to see how it goes.  Hoping for the best outcome you could wish for, Carol x 

Thank you I'm just so worried, I'm only 22 I've had a falopian tube removed when I was 19 due to a cyst I was told that cysts can sometimes form into cancer and that they will most definitely return as I get older

can I ask did you get internal and external scan, I also went yesterday but they only did external this time I have been scanned before where cysts were found.

Hi yes I had both internal and external scans, have they said anything to you about removing the cysts? 

No they put me on a 'wait and watch' list. 
 

im 38 so they said unlikely to be ovarian cancer even though my gran died at 42 and my mum and 4 sisters had full hysterectomys by 40. 
 

they just did external ultrasound yesterday but did ask me to lay in my side which I didn't have last time. I'm bleeding heavy maybe that's why they didn't do internal one.

I dont think the bleeding is the case as I'm also bleeding so heavy and have been for over a year now, maybe you could request an internal one, my doctor instantly referred me for both scan after having a phone call appointment, I wonder why they asked you to lay on your side, I've been for hundreds of ultrasound scans and never been asked that 

Yeah I thought that was odd too, I also was asked to empty my bladder I assumed this was to do internal but it wasn't she just re did scan then asked me to breath in and go onto my side. Strange 

That is strange, has your doctor been in touch with you over the results of your ultrasound? My doctor's will only book an appointment for abnormal results otherwise they get the receptionist to tell you over the phone which is obviously worrying me even more 

So I have experienced the same symptoms as you for the last 4 year's, taking this long to get a referral, had my scan yesterday, internal and external, they told me the results would be in today, after spending the last hour on the phone on hold they said to call back Monday as the receptionist had gone home, i guess it can't be that urgent otherwise they would have phoned, however still a huge worry!!
