Large lump in right breast

Hi all

i was wondering if someone could help. I've found a lump in my right breast, went to my GP who said it's around 2cm and referred to breast clinic at the hospital.

still waiting for the referral, but in the meantime I'm struggling with pain. It's almost like a dull, heavy ache (I have small ish boobs so nothing to do with the size unfortunately :( ) almost a burning sensation around the nipple too and it's shooting up to my arm pit too, and today I've felt pain in my left breast as well?! Is this normal!!

im only 22, so I'm hoping it's nothing too sinister, but I can't shift the pain at all, I've tried painkillers and nothings working.

hope to hear from someone xxxx

I'm sorry to hear that you found a lump in your breast and are experiencing pain.

As I'm not a doctor, I'm afraid I can't tell you what this lump means but if you feel like speaking with someone medically trained until your referral, please know that our friendly team of nurses our cancer nurses are a phone call away on this number: 0808 800 4040 and their line is open Monday - Friday, between 9 a.m - 5 p.m.

    With best wishes,
