Hi everyone,
First of all let me say this forum has provided me with so much information these last few days, thanks for that!
My Dad has had various symptoms over a short period of time and contacted his doctor. His doctor took blood samples which identified he had a high amount of Iron in his blood. He was then given an urgent referral to the cancer ward.
Just under a week ago he was asked to provide a stool sample. Off the back of the stool sample a telephone consultation has been arranged with a Colorectal Cancer Consultant / Bowel Cancer specialist.
My question is, considering the call back is from a bowel cancer specialist, does this mean that we can assume he has bowel cancer?
... also can we assume anything from it being a telephone call, might this mean we may not get some answers yet and should prepare to wait longer?
Any insight would be really helpful to us.
Thanks,
Joe
