Welcome to the forum Cd500 although I'm sorry about the symptoms you've been contending with.
As things haven't improved since you saw the out of hours GP you will need to go back to your surgery if you want to have further investigations. It must be very frustrating when you feel like you're not being listened to but only a medical professional can get to the bottom of this for you. If you have more than one GP at your surgery you could try getting a second opinion from another doctor and discuss your concerns about your family history with them. You may find it helpful to get in touch with the NHS on their 111 service as well.
