CA125....37

Hi. I have been experiencing body/emotional and mood changes for around 4ish months  to which I put 2 and 2 together and came up with 5. I presumed I was going through the pirimenopaus. I am 47 years old. I continued with life until until I finally had enough mainly of the bloated tummy and weight gain symptoms. Others include intermittent pains in tummy, intermittent hot sweats, fuller breasts, sensitive nipples, belching a lot, fuller quicker after eating small amounts. Doctor sent me for blood test two days ago and call me into surgery today he said my CA125 was slightly raised (2 over the average norm). Did and internal examination. Being sent for scan within 2 weeks...I do not know the outcome and I do try to keep positive thoughts..I highly recommend making awareness a priority for others. I hope we all get through our journeys and support each other to do so xx please remember the same symptoms may have a different results for different people so try to stay focused and positive until you receive facts or test results. Best of luck to everyone x

  • Hello TinaGro and welcome to the forum.

As you say, there could be many reasons why your CA125 is currently a tad higher than normal so your approach is spot on Tina and I'm sure some of our members who are in a similar situation will take your advice on board as best they can.

I hope your scan goes well and the results show there is no cause for concern.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi Steph thank you for your kind words. My symptoms are those exact to Fibroids (one of the four main reasons why CA125 maybe raised). It is very hard trying to stay positive with what could potentially be a life sentence hanging over you however, I am trying ..until the blood results I thought I was going through the change and continued with life in that mentality, I have found it easy to start over thinking over stopping daily tasks ect if I allow my thought to take over, I am more aware now of what I feel and I am monitoring the effects however until I have more to go on I need to stay in a good mental attitude for myself and my faily and my friends. I hope people have a good support network but also have this site to turn to as I found it a relief to join to be honest and speak amoungst others going thruogh a simiar experience so thank you for this. I will post an update once I have one xxx
