Referred after smear-appointment date next May?

Hello all

Had a smear 10 days ago, referred as a growth seen on cervix. Received NHS letter to book appointment online, my local hospital has NO appointments, and the next hospital to me has nothing until April 2021!
Nurse that did the smear said it needed checking out, but she wasnt going to fast track me as I would be seen reasonably quickly. 
I looked at going privately for a hysteroscopy, but its £2,500!! Jeez.

What do I do? I rang doctors, they told me to take April 2021! They said the nurse would have fast tracked me if she was worried? What can I do? Help. I dont want to wait that long. :(

    I was having irregular bleeding, back pain and fullness around my pelvis about 4 weeks ago.

    Nurse done a speculum exam and noticed a growth on my cervix.. Wasn't sure what it was. 2 weeks later I had a gynae appointment, they had a feel around my tummy and done anotjer speculum exam, said my uterus felt 'bulky' possibly due to having four babies.

    Anyway the gynae consultant said that the growth on my cerix doesn't look suspicious, could be a certain kind or haematoma, usually consistent with having LLETZ treatments in the past, also known as cherry cervix. If you have had LLETZ, it could be something simple like that?

    Any other symptoms?

    You could always present to A&E with pains/bleeding/etc to hurry things. That's how we get seen quicker in Ireland, unfortunately.

    Thank you so much for replying. May I ask abot the back pain and where it is/was?
    I also have back pain that flares up and down.

    I am so glad that the growth isnt suspicious that must be a relief.

    I have never had any LLETZ... all my smears have come back ok over the years, though my last one was at a 4 year inetrval (instead of 3). 

    The nurse said that there was something 'poking' on the other side of the 'doughnut' ring. Those were her exact words. She said maybe it could be a polyp but it needed checking as she wasnt sure.

    I thought I'd get an appointment in the next 6 weeks, so having to wait 5 months was real shock. I am still waiting to see what the results of smear are... so much worry :(

    I don't know what to do. 
    The reason that I went intially (apart from knowing my smear was over due), was that I bled 24 hrs after sex. Only for three quarters of a day, and very light and pink. No pain or anything. Except the back pain that flares. I have also had a UTI on and off, which seems ok when I drink lots of water but creeps back in if I don't drink enough. I'm 47, and have been experiencing a change in cycle for 6-9 months, missing periods, though generally if/when they appear they are light and over in 2-3 days.

    I'm scared to wait 5 months, and don't think its fair. Ugh :(

    So tired of worrying. Thank you SO much for replying, I cant thank you enough. It's hard when every thing is dark. I have just moved home, going through a nasty divorce, and have finance trouble after covid; all in all, not a good time xx thank you  for being there
