Waiting for CT scan results

Hi

I've  been fast tracked by my GP with suspected colorectal cancer (I'm told it could also be inflammatory bowel disease).  I had my CT scan 8 days ago and I was told initially that I would be waiting three to five days for the results. Now I'm told it's 7 to 10 days. The waiting around is driving me mad. I'm going to the loo up to 6 times a day, passing blood, loss of appetite, weight loss and fatigue. I'm so fed up of feeling this way (it's been going on for 5 weeks now) and the waiting for results is driving me mad! 
Has anyone else experienced this and if so how did you cope with the waiting?

    I'm so sorry to hear that, the waiting time is horrible.

    With my partner, we were waiting for the initial results for 4 weeks. He had his first check up a month ago and again, no results yet. Throughout this process we received minimal support and everything took extremely long. We were trying to distract ourselves as much as possible but, every single day my heart stops when I hear phone ringing and I'm not sure what is the best way to distract yourself. Hopefully, someone else has some good tips.

    By saying this, I don't mean to worry you, I want you to know that you are not alone in this.
