Hi,
In the summer I reported to my doctor some problems with bloating and stomach pains. As I was being tested for the brca2 gene at the time they completed lots of different tests, blood tests and stool samples.
I visited my dentist due to a reoccurring fluid blister on the roof of my mouth that comes back around every 6/7 days. He organised a referral to oral medicine at the hospital but advised due to Covid it could take a long time.
I spoke to my doctor about a persistent ear ache last week and headaches. He said he wouldn't see me yet as it could be related to the blister so would wait to see what the hospital said. I'd been seeing how things went as I keep having a dizzy headache pretty much all day every day for about two weeks now.
I had a text message from my doctors today asking I call them. The doctor that spoke to me about my ear last week looked back through notes and said that my calprotectin levels in the stool sample were high and requested they be repeated. It was a receptionist I spoke to today who wasn't able to tell me any details information, I asked to speak to the doctor again but she said no one would be available today and she will get someone to call me tomorrow.
Now I'm terrified, I don't understand what this means and I'm so confused at how I didn't receive a request to repeat the test at the time and it seems like it's been chanced upon by the doctor reading notes last week, but then it's been a further week for them to contact me to say the test needs repeating.
my mind is all over the place, I don't know if the blister is mouth cancer, my dizziness is a brain tumour and now is this bowel cancer. I know that sounds crazy but I can't seem to get anyone to help me and these problems aren't going away. I've never had headaches last for such a long time before.
