Worried about results

Hi there,

I wondered if anyone had any advice or similar experiences?

I had an urgent FNA biopsy of some reactive enlarged lymph nodes in my groin 2 weeks ago! The nodes hadn't gone down after 3 weeks, instead they had got slightly larger. I have had no illness or infections so my consultant was concerned!

I have today received a follow up appointment for the 23rd of December at 8.30 am! If it had been a bad result would they not have seen me sooner for a follow up? But I also know that the nhs is so stretched at the moment because of coronavirus!
I'm just so worried, only my husband knows what's going on at the moment. I have 3 children and feel sick with worry.
please anyone if you have advice.

  • Hi im the same really anxious have been for a year wonder if any one can help one of the nurses. Exactly a year ago i had swollen groin the back of the neck nodes. They biopsed neck they didnt want to biopsy groin to avoid complications even tbough this one was 2cm.  Anyway neck came back reactive. Then groin nodes went away. Im just worried they have taken the wrong lymph node.  Then i developed chest pain and itching which went away i also had sickness and stomach pain a while ago went to a&e they took bloods all ok so discharged. And chest xray ok bloods ok. Private hametoligist thinks sure its not lymphoma.    Im wondering if low grade lymphoma would this show up in a biopsy rather than reactive????  Im just worrying this is going to develop into lymphoma in the future??? I have all the symptoms...the gp etc have discharged me but still cant stop worrying....  Please help
