Hi....a few weeks ago I went for my normal 3 year point smear, always on time with them, I had it on a Monday and the following week I get a phone call from the hospital on a Friday saying I need to go in on the Tuesday for a coloscopy. I was like yeah of course no problem. I went and got told there are high grade abnormalities on both cervix and in canal and Hpv positive. In that appointment they did a biopsy and loop excision under local. Got told I would receive the results by post in about 4 weeks.
6 days later I get a phone call saying I need to go in to see the consultant in 8 days time (2 days from now). I then got a phone call 3 days ago saying tomorrow i need to go for a chest xray, pelvis mri with contrast and bloods before my appointment the next day with the consultant and nurse specialist!
I have no idea why I need all the tests but it doesn't look good :( please fill me with some hope?'
