Lump on Supracavacular collar bone

Hi,

I found this forum while searching the internet for reassurance.  I've a 1cm x 2cm lump above my collarbone and I'm terrified. I've seen ENT specialist who us concerned and I'm having a needle biopsy kn the morning.

I'm not strong so I'm searching for reassurance that others have had these and theyve turned out benign?

I hope it's ok to post this here.

Can they often tell from taking the needle biopsy if it is benign or malignant ?

My ultrasound just said concerning lump and the size recommendations for biopsy.

Thank you anyone. I'm not sure my brain  and mental health would cope with a diagnosis of c. I'm going alone to my biopsy.

Thanks anyone who can reassure at all or advise at all.

  • I'm sorry no-one was able to get back to you before you had your biopsy Lou, but I hope it went well and you were able to get your questions answered.

Now that I've replied I'm sure some of our members who missed your post first time around and have had a similar experience will get back to you soon.

  • Hi  thanks Steph.

I'm in Ireland,  is there anyone I could call  here?

I'm not doing good. I've had breast pain which has been worse since the biopsy yesterday on the lump on my neck.

I found a lump in my breast.

    I'm terrified.

Is it possible to have some infection in the breast that isbt cancer that causes lymph node swelling in the Supracavicular nodes?

I'm afraid I'm going to die and I'm only 40 with a small boy who needs me so badly..

  • Hi Lou,

The Irish Cancer Society have a free helpline you can call and an online community you can join as well. All the details can be found on their website (just click on the link I've included to find out more).

    I hope this helps :)
