I hope that’s the reason I just don’t understand why if you don’t have cancer do they not phone you quickly as they must know it makes you anxious the not knowing! And I do not know why GP would be informed before me. Have you tried your GP to see if they have result? Pam x
Yeah it makes no sense to send it to your gp before contacting you either by phone or letter. I've checked and my gp doesn't have the results. I've managed to get a telephone appointment with the consultant next Tuesday but that's still another week away and I'd really like to know now what is happening. It's awful all this waiting around
Yes its not great this. My GP never had my results last Thursday because I asked then. I will find out tomorrow when Dr phones. I would try ur GP again on Thursday that’s how long it took for them to have my letter 16 days its the waiting. I keep thinking it can’t be cancer they would surely have called by now.
Has the dr phones yet? I phoned the secretary yesterday who told me that I wouldn't get my results until my colonoscopy results are back - the colonoscopy hasn't even been booked and I was told last week that it would depend on the sample results for how long I would wait for my colonoscopy. I asked for the number for the colonoscopy, when I rang she booked me for New Year's Eve. Frustrating as if I hadn't have rang then I wonder how long I would have been waiting? If I'd have known then I would have rang sooner. Equally frustrating as I was told the ct scan results would be 3-5 days and then I was told 10-14 days and then I was told it wouldn't be until my colonoscopy results. So that'll be over a month before I get the results
Dr just phoned I have a growth in upper bowel and a thickening on the wall of my womb. It would be normal but I stopped periods 3 yrs ago so was quite young to stop she said womb should be Chrystal clear mines not so I am getting referred to gynaecology for test & a colonoscopy to remove growth. So I will have a longer wait also to see if either are cancer. X
