Waiting times for results can differ depending on what part of the country you're in but if you're worried or have waited longer than you were told then you could try getting in touch with the hospital to find out if your results are back. Alternatively, you could contact your doctor to see if they've received anything or ask them to chase this up for you.

How you receive results seems to differ depending on what part of the country you're in so it may be best to contact the department that carried out your CT colonography to find out more. If you have difficulty getting through, you could try your GP as they could also chase your results for you.

I had a ct scan for suspected bowel cancer 8 days ago and I still don't have the results. I've tried ringing the consultants secretary but there's no answer. The waiting is driving me mad so I feel your pain x
yes this is horrible the wait. This is Day 11 for me they said between 10-12 days. I don’t know if it’s by phone call or letter you are told? Do you know? I keep running to the door when post comes think postman thinks I am nuts!!

I think it's over the phone. I've been told that I've been referred for a colonoscopy too but this can't do that until they get the ct scan results back and they said it's backed up for colonoscopys (excuse the pun). I don't understand why I'm having a colonoscopy when I've had a ct scan. I hate the waiting and I hate feeling so drained all of the time. I haven't rung my gp yet but I'll wait until Friday. So you were told you need to get a Colonoscopy before result of CT scan back? I Take warfarin so they said they would do the CT colonography as you can bleed with colonoscopy. I think the difference is with a colonoscopy they can take a biopsy but not with the CT. Did you have anything wrong with your blood? X
