I'm sorry to hear that you're waiting on a nail biopsy. I'm unsure what kind of biopsy the Consultant may do as it's my understanding that there are different ways of taking the sample however please be reassured that the biopsy is taken under a local anesthetic so you should feel no pain. 

You might find it helpful to talk things through with one of our nurses. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.
