Pancreas Creon tablets advice please

Hey all, 

So I've had my colonoscopy done which they found a growth so they have removed it and sent it of for testing. My GI doctor has informed me that my pancreas is not producing the enzymes to help digest the fats etc (waiting on an MRI scan to see whats causing it) I have been prescribed Creon 25000 which I take 2 with meals and 1 with snacks. Has anybody has problems with diarrhea and how long did it last? Any tips would be great!

    I'm sorry to hear that you're not only waiting on some biopsy results but also that the Consultant discovered some problems with your pancreatic function. I'm sure it's been a difficult time for you. 

    Diarrhoea is a known side effect of the medication you've been prescribed but I'd certainly suggest contacting your GP or the Consultant for some advice if you're finding that things are not settling. They will be best placed to talk things through with you and offer some advice based on your personal circumstances. 

    I hope things settle and that you don' have to wait too long for your results and further tests.
