Lump under breast

Hiya,

I'm 29 and i found a hard lump under my breast about 5 weeks ago so I went to the doctors. The doctor said he was sure it was ok but referred me to the breast clinic anyway. I assumed something might be done at the clinic but all she did was tell me the same as the go but said She will refer me for a biopsy for about 4-6 weeks time because it is fixed.

I am so stressed and have been so upset since, I have also found a swollen lymph node above my collar bone.

I don't quite know why I'm posting I guess to put it out there rather than spend the next few weeks crying.

I would really appreciate any feedback if anyone has been in this situation.

    I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. I hope you won't have to wait too long for your biopsy. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting to find out more and the coming weeks might seem very long to you.

    I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious. 

    I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you. 

    Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    I'm facing something similar! No swollen lymph node but a weird lump under my breast. I have the Drs tomorrow. How did you get on?
