Hi, maybe I'm just being a little nervous but I'd like some clarity. Im young 21(F) and I found a lump on my neck a few months back I realised it was my lymph node so I assumed I had an infection anyway quite a few months have gone by and it's still there but not only that another one has appeared behind my ear it's rock solid and doesn't hurt just like the other one (I assume this is another lymph node). The thing that is freaking me out is that I had blood tests done last week (separate reason) and they came back clear my WBC were at 9 which is normal so no sign of any infection and this is the weird part for my I've had tonsillitis for around 8 years now never disappeared and every time I go to the doctors i end up getting antibiotics that don't work cause they just keep telling me it's re occouring it also doesn't hurt and I can't feel it but I'm nervous because my blood tests should have shown that I have an infection because of my throat and my lymph nodes but they aren't and now I'm just thinking the worst. My family have the WORST history when it come to cancer and everyone one of my grandparents have died from it and mum has had it and my dad has it now so I'm freaking out because every time I use (stupid) google it's saying it may be non Hodgkins Lymphona or throat cancer. I know I need to stop googling but I'm just wondering if anyone know why this might be the case my WBC being normal when I can obviously see an infection. Thank you.
