Hi all

I'm 38 and after smear test 3 weeks ago I have been called for colposcopy in 10 days time due to HPV and severe abnormal cells

i also go for tests every 3 years and last time have negative and normal cells.

I understand that HPV can be dormant and flair up so that's why it might be present now but I'm concerned that I've gone from normal to severe in such a short time frame.  Looking for some facts about how that is possible as Dr Google is just making me anxious

Ordinarily I would try not to think about this until we get further down the process but worry about health after being diagnosed with thyroid cancer last year
