Hello in my case after my MRI and was told I had cancer it was then explained to me that it goes to a panel , discussed and the best form of treatment for me is thrashed out . It's the same for most cancers so it's not just down to one oncologist, or surgeon etc . I think you will be told something first as in my case but I can't be 100% certain . I hope you are ok. X x
Hi hope your well,
It isnt for me but my father, he went into hospital on friday night with a seizure of some sort, he had his ct scan the same night and he told us it came clear however it came from him.and not the doctors, he has been kept in and have kept an eye on him in hospital, he had his MRI scan this morning and was discharged this evening, it states on his discharge form " Possible neurological malignancy" alongside "seizures", they have given him so seizure medication, it also stated on the form consultant will contact PT on Tuesday regards a dosage increase if needed pending outcome of meeting, is a meeting standard procedure or do you think they have spotted something, im really worried.
Sorry for late reply ..
The person who did the MRI won't know straightaway , it has to be looked at by a trained eye . I think the meeting means a discussion about his MRI. If it was something immediately life threatening they would have looked for it and kept him in I would have thought... him saying a clear CT scan is a positive. Sorry this is a late reply and you may already have an answer. i think a seizure of any sort warrants an investigation. X
