Little worried about lump on back of neck. Been referred.

So about 4 months ago I discovered a marble sized painless lump on the back of my neck (slightly to the left) I was 7 months pregnant at the time and didn't think much of it.

A little time has obviously gone by now and I've noticed I've been getting hot and cold on occasion, my hair thinning, and the past couple days I've had some brown vaginal discharge and some irregular bleeding (not due my period) I am tired a lot but baring in mind I have a 4 kids which of 1 of them is night feeding!!

so I went to the doctors for bloods last week and the results came back with slightly high white blood cell count and I have been referred to a lump clinic also, so I guess I'm here to ask if anyone has experienced similar things?
thanks in advance

  • Hey

I have just read your post and hoping you're ok and health is all ok

im 24 with no children but noticed a lump on my neck at the back as in not my hairline but below which has been there for what I know around 4 weeks it's had some burning sensation which has eased off but I am worried about it plus other things... following that I have had irregular periods/late periods for the last few months & then missed my period for December which then got replaced with a weird black/brown discharge which has been going on for around 2 weeks but not enough to need to wear a tampon etc... I went for my first smear yesterday but prior to this the black/brown discharge had been there but I've also noticed a very watery discharge liquid (mostly clear) and can't really smell anything that's too strong.. after my smear yesterday I've not noticed any black/brown anymore but now there's a lot more watery discharge which is literally making my underwear wet

for the past few months I have not felt 100% and has been a lot of stuff going on from headaches to chest pains to neck pain, some of these things ease off over a few weeks and then something new happens but I feel as though everything I've experienced is still there just comes and goes

I feel as though this is completely over powering my daily life and I'm convinced something is seriously wrong and feel as though I'm not really being listened to

Please let me know how you're getting on and if you've as any closure on your situation at all

wishing you all the best and hopefully speak to you soon

    ell:)

  • Sorry to hear your going through this, I had my check at the lump clinic and got ultrasound on my neck and although I could only feel one lump apparently I had multiple swollen lymph nodes In my neck , thankfully they all seemed pretty normal lookIng, which is good news but I still don't know why they are swollen and still getting other symptoms such as the bleeding/discharge etc so my gp put me on antibiotics and I'm now awaiting a gyne appointment to rule out problems down there.

I hope you get some answers soon and hopefully it's just something and nothing ((sending hugs))
