Hello, 

I have recently posted on here after finding two lumps either side of my thyroid. My Gp agreed there was two lumps &

referred me to the ent department where I had an initial physical exam  on my first appointment, and today I have had a ultra sound.

The doctor doing the ultra sound told me she couldn't even see the lumps ... which firstly made me feel silly and secondly has made me feel like I'm loosing the plot giving the fact I can clearly see them.  Even though my general gp and then the doctor from the ent clearly felt and measured these. She told me I have a small nodule around 6mm. My question is  this... could this actually be a throat problem and would abnormalities of throat show up on a thyroid ultra sound? since I have been feeling discomfort in my neck and experiencing shortness of breath I am still very concerned.
