I found a lump in my neck and I have had an ultrasound.

I found a moveable lump on the left hand side of my neck which is about an inch long and feels like it has a slight dent in it. My dr referred me to the hospital, who then referred me to get an ultrasound. I had the ultrasound and the doctor told me that it was nothing to worry about and that because I am skinny I can find more lumps and bumps than others. He said that my lymph does were of normal size. I'm frustrated because I feel as though it isn't but I know I should listen to the doctor. I did the worst thing you can do and googled. Anyway, I am always tired and have no appetite, im itchy all the time, and now I'm constantly worried. I'm not sure what I should do - put faith into my doctors apparently

  • Hello Alessiam and welcome to the forum.

It's great to see you've had good results from your ultrasound although I'm sorry this is still playing on your mind. As you've found out, google is not our friend in situations like these so do try and stay away from it and when you can, try and remind yourself of the positive outcome you've had so far.

If you continue to have doubts or still feel something isn't right, you could try seeking a second opinion from a different doctor. To find out more just click here.
