Will Cryotherapy treat Cin1?

I have post coital bleeding and been told I have an ectropian. I also have Cin1.

When I asked the nurse on the colposcopy ward if cryotherapy would be an option to treat the Cin she said that it wouldn't get rid of the Cin but that Cryotherapy would be an option to treat the ectropian.

I'm confused. I thought Cryotherapy was used for Cin 1?

Please help.
