Hi
I hope someone can help, or share similar experiences?
When I was 18/19 years old My job was very stressful so I developed constipation. I used to try very hard to go to the toilet which regret. I have always had a fairly sensitive stomach and have suffered from IBS for many years. I am now 46 years old. during my mid 20's I noticed bright red blood after using the toilet. Ultimately this lead me to have a colonoscopy inspection around the age of 29? It isnt something I would like to repeat. The Dr never really give me a definitive answer apart from there are "tears?". I have also had periods of intense itching in the back passage. But thankfully I haven't had that for several years now. However I do still bleed a lot, sometimes the bowl is bright red with blood? I would say on a daily basis there are signs of blood 60/70% of the time on the paper and lot of blood dots/splashed on the bowl. My stools are normally very loose and I visit the toilet on average 3 times a day. Because I have has lived with this for 20+ years it has become the norm. Can someone give me any idea what it could be, is it just tears or maybe internal hemorrhoids? It doesn't bother me but the older you get the more you start to worry? My diet is excellent and I am very fit and active with an athletic physique more that of a fit 30 year old. I do drink red wine every day, but never drink enough to have a hangover. I have nothing on my medical record so no other issues at all? Many thanks
