Lump in thigh

Good morning everyone,

Just want a little bit of help with something..

Ive recently had a lump come up in my thigh, it's quite big, very noticeable.
I went for a scan last month & doctor said he thought it was a bleed & I had another scan yesterday where he wasn't sure at all on if there is a under line problem as the bleed hasn't cleared up. He mentioned there could be some sort of lump there stopping it healing or the lump is the problem & that's what is bleeding.
Im now booked in for a MRI scan next Friday.
as you can imagine I'm going out my mind. The lump wasn't causing me pain or problems but recently I'm experiencing shooting pains and numbness around it.
im a first time mum to a beautiful little girl who is 8 months I'm literally doing my own head.
Has by one had this before? Just want feed back good or bad anything will help me.
Will they tell me at the MRI if it is a trying serious etc?
Thank you for your help & I hope you all have a lovely weekend xx

  • Hi Samanth66,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. It's good that you have got this checked out and hopefully it won't be too long to wait to find out more about this. You may not get a clear indication at the scan - it's usually once the results come through that you have an opportunity to learn more and discuss anything with your doctor.

I know it must be unsettling and the uncertainty is never easy. If you can, try to keep yourself busy while you wait, to help keep your mind off things.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
