Itching sensation

Hey,

so March 2020 i developed an itchy sensation in my Throat/chest. I was convinced I had Covid-19 I was tested and it can be back negative. I work in health and social care so am swabbed weekly for covid19. I have also had the anti body test and no anti bodies were detected so that been ruled out.
I have been back and forth to the doctors for months and prescribed different medications NONE have worked. These include the following;

anti histamines- fexofenadine

steroids-

anti biotics - clorazapine

pholcodine linctus

Acid reflux has been mentioned but I've previous had an operation to repair a hiatus hernia that was causing GERD so ruled this out. I have seen ENT and they have check my throat and vocal cords no damage or issues.

My symptoms are as follows:

Itchy sensation is lower throat (trachea area)

Pain in from of my neck

wheezy / breathlessness

Head aches

dry throat.
burning in throat.
Lump sensation in throat (lower)

The symptoms are always there but have slowly got worse. The sensation in my throat gets worse after I've eaten and at night

I am so uncomfortable, I feel depressed and 9 months on worried it will never better. I cry all the time It's mentally draining being so uncomfortable and worried.

any suggestions or ideas?

  • Hey Jane617

How are you? Im suffering with similar sensations and my anxiety is through the roof. Each symptom comes and goes days at a time and im besides myself with worry, thinking of course the worst.

Did anything ever come of it, are you better now? Ive spoken to other peole who have mentioned Globus Sensation, and not sure if it could be that maybe a different form?
