Still no symptoms

Hi I posted a few days ago about a very Large mass in lower abdomen and 2 urgent refferals, had a ultrasound and Gp rang next day another urgent appointment with gynaecology next Wednesday, apart from the mass making me look 5-6 months pregnant, some pressure making my bowel feel full (even though regular as clockwork). No blood in stools, no discharge or incontinence, no loss of appetite, able to sleep as normal, some night sweats but not enough to wake me or having to change Pj's or sheets, had last period around 14 months ago and not had any bleeding, still very frighten about tests and even more the results.

  • Hello Nickiclaire,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum.  I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting for these important results and I hope that your appointment next Wednesday goes well and gives you some definite answers.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi there, do you mind me asking what your results were? I found a lump below my belly button last week and had similar experience to you, all bloods came back normal, ultrasound showed the lump and the sonographer said it looks like endometriosis after a c section, today my doctor has phoned me to tell me that the sonographer's report now wants to rule out a sarcoma so I have got an appointment next Wednesday. I am absolutely petrified. The only symptoms I have are that every month the day before my period starts my tummy gets so sore and takes me right back to that c-section pain.
I sincerely hope you got good news :)

  • Hi, still waiting for further tests, MRI this Sat and then seeing a consultant on the 11th.

  • Wow, it really has been a drawn out experience for you! Fingers crossed for you
