Growth near ovary and mass on kidney!

Hello

This might be quite long sorry but hoping to find out if anyone has been through anything similar.

I'm 29 and have 3 children.
I've been suffering with pelvic pain for a couple

of months tugging on one side and a full continuous ache in pubic area and constant bloating, I was sent for a scan to see if my coil had moved and could be causing the pain, I suffer with pcos and was told there were quite a few cysts which is normal with this but there was a growth near my right ovary which kind of takes the shape of a fibroid but fibroids apparently do not grow where this is growing, we are waiting to here from gynaecology regarding a second opinion, anybody had this and what's the outcome been?
I had elevated levels in my liver from blood results so went for an ultrasound on that on Friday, and Monday I was told they had found a mass on my kidney and a emptiness to my liver but they needed clearer imaging. I've been suffering with pain int he right side of my back so bad I can barely walk sometimes and a bit of weight loss but it's unnoticeable due to constant bloating, she put it through as possible cancer and I was today told a urologist (i think) would call me on Monday. As they need clearer images why would I be getting a phone call on Monday? I'm confused

Hope somebody can relate and just let me know what happened for them. Thank you x

  • Hello Sammie2

I'm sorry to hear about the health concerns that you've had recently and that the tests you have had have shown some possible areas of concern.

I know that most of our members here will agree that this period of waiting for tests and results can be really difficult. Not knowing what is going on can lead to lots of anxiety.

I'd suggest now over the weekend before you speak to the Urologist that you write down any questions that you have. That way when they ring on Monday you'll have things to hand and won't forget to ask anything. It'll also give you the opportunity to write down any important information that he gives you during the call.

If you have a chance I'd recommend calling our team of nurses as well. I'm sure that they will be able to offer some advice and support ahead of your appointment. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

Keep in touch Sammie and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
