Hello,
On Monday I had a colonoscopy (which as far as I was aware it went great) the doctor that performed the colonoscopy stated all looks health and he took some biopsies as routine. I now have to wait 4-6 weeks for results.
Rewind back to September, where I suffered with really low abdo/pelvic pain for pretty much the whole month. Max 3-4 weeks of pain, and then it was gone. Felt great ever since.
I spoke to my doctor who suggested I do a Qfit and Faecal Calprotectin tests. These were the results: QFIT >400, FC 2131. These were worrying results, especially as they found blood in my stool. I have never not once noticed blood in my stool. The doctor then refers me for a colonoscopy which went as stated above.
And since I have recently moved he gave me a copy of the report to pass on to my new doctor when I register at a new surgery. Well anyway, I opened the report today as my curiosity got the better of me. And in his notes he states as follows: "Extrinsic bulge into caecum that reduced with air insufflation. Otherwise normal colonoscopy and deep TI intubation. Suspect intussusceptum. Suggest repeat FC and QFIT in 3 months and book CT if pain returns."
Now I'm back to being worried. Why didn't he say any of this to my face as I would have had questions. Now I've stupidly asked Google and I am now worried I have life-threatening conditions.
Is anyone able to share their experiences or help explain or relieve my suspicions?
I am a 32 year old female.
Thanks in advance.
